+ WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY CLASS?

We have a 12 hour cancellation policy. Cancel up to 12 hours before a halo session and a halo session will be credited back to your account for future use.

Halo sessions cannot be switched less than 12 hours in advance of start time. However, you may call in advance to drop-in for another session that same day and if a spot is available, it's yours. Please arrive no earlier than 10 minutes for a halo drop in.

To cancel a reservation, log into MindBody, go to My Info, click My Schedule and click Cancel next to the session time. If you have trouble cancelling or have any questions, please email or call us.

All sales are final. Halo sessions are non-refundable, exchangeable or transferable.

**WE ARE SORRY, BUT WE DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS. IF YOU DO NOT CANCEL WITHIN 12 HOURS OF THE SESSION START TIME, YOU WILL LOSE THE SESSION CREDIT.

+ WHAT IS THE WAITLIST AND HOW DOES THAT WORK?

If a halo session you’d like to take is full, we recommend putting yourself on the waitlist.

In order to do so, you must purchase a session or package. If you do not get a spot in the halo session, your account will be credited.

If a spot opens, you will be added to the halo session and receive an email confirmation.

All sessions have a 12 hour cancellation policy, so if you're added to a session from the waitlist at the last minute, be aware the 12 hour cancellation still applies.

The waitlist closes 12 hours prior to that session start time and becomes void. If you would like to come to the studio to try and drop in after the 12 hour window closes, it is first come first serve.

If you no longer want a spot in the halo session, you need to remove yourself from the waitlist 12 hours in advance of the session. If you are added to the session and fail to remove yourself in time, you will lose the session credit.

**TO CHECK YOUR WAITLIST STATUS, LOG INTO MINDBODY, GO TO MY INFO, CLICK MY SCHEDULE. IF YOU GOT INTO THE SESSION IT WILL SAY “WAITLIST UNCONFIRMED.” IF YOU DO NOT WANT THIS SESSION BE SURE TO REMOVE YOURSELF OR NOTIFY US AND WE’LL REMOVE YOU!

+ What should I expect in a Halo Session?

Each halo session lasts 45 minutes. Our salt room allows for halotherapy to be experienced in a group setting. Salt Therapy requires a device called a Halogenerator, which grinds salt into microscopic particles and then disperses them into a room where you relax and breathe normally. There is no need to change clothing as sessions are dry and room temperature.

+ What will my experience be like in a Halo Session?

You will enter a room where the floors are covered in layers of salt. Adults can sit back and relax in a chair while listening to relaxing music, meditate, or simply rest.

Children can play on the salted floor as if it were a day at the beach.

The temperature and humidity in the studios are controlled to provide an optimal experience. You will find it relaxing and tranquil, the perfect urban escape from your everyday stress leaving you rejuvenated and energized as if you have been on a vacation. After a session, you may feel a faint trace of salt on your lips along with some tingling in your nose. A slight cough, minor tightness in the chest or runny nose shows the salt is doing its work to remove mucus and toxins from the lungs and airways.

+ What clothing should be worn in the salt room?

Comfortable clothing is recommended for a halo session. Come dressed as you are or you may change into clothing that exposes areas of skin you would like to reach - sleeveless shirts, tank tops, shorts, and skirts are permitted. Socks are to be worn in the studio at all times. You can bring your own or purchase them at the front desk.

For children we request that they come in clean clothing and socks and that long hair be pulled back in a ponytail.

Stress and fatigue

Cold/Flu Prevention

Allergies

Asthma

Ear infections

Eczema

Psoriasis

Bronchitis

COPD

Smoker’s cough

Snoring/Sleep Apnea

+ How many sessions are needed to alleviate symptoms?

This varies widely among individuals, and the condition being treated is a big factor. Some conditions and milder symptoms will improve or dissipate within just a couple of sessions. You may have some relief after one session; however, for the best results we recommend a series of treatments.

Those with chronic conditions most likely need to come three times a week for the first 6-8 weeks.

Those who come for stress relief and relaxation simply come as often as they like. It can also be used as a preventative measure to strengthen the immune system against colds, cough, allergies, and sinusitis.

+ Is halotherapy safe for children?

We recommend that you always check with your doctor first. Halotherapy is a 100% drug-free therapy that can assist children with respiratory and skin conditions. A safe and effective compliment to traditional medical treatments, our halotherapy for children is specially designed to provide your child with optimal health benefits in a comfortable and playful environment. We recommend from 6 months old.

+ What age can a child go for Halotherapy?

Children as young as 3 months have benefitted greatly, respond quickly and effectively to halotherapy. We recommend you check with your doctor first before bringing your baby to the salt room.

+ What are the benefits of Halotherapy for Children?

Halotherapy can boost their immune system, helping protect your child from future infections and illness. Children are more prone to respiratory problems since their lungs are not fully developed until around the age of 9. The negative ions in the salt also help soothe and calm your child, easing hyperactivity and the stresses of illness and/or pain.

+ Is Halotherapy safe for pregnant women?

Halotherapy is a great choice for expectant women who have sinusitis, asthma, allergies, and other respiratory illnesses during their pregnancy. It is a 100% natural treatment that can alleviate symptoms and also boost the immune system. We recommend you check with your doctor before booking a halo session.

+ In which cases should Halotherapy be avoided?

We recommend you always check with your doctor before participating. The therapy is not recommended for individuals with the following conditions:

Existence or suspicion of cancer

Any kind of infectious disease

Acute respiratory disease

Cardiac insufficiency

Cardiac and coronary diseases

COPD with 3rd stage of chronic lung insufficiency

Coughing of blood/bleeding

Infections accompanied by fever

High blood pressure/hypertension in IIB stage

Any form or stage of tuberculosis

Intoxication

Chronic kidney disease

All internal diseases of decompensation

+ What about the concern that salt is bad for you?

Consuming too much salt is linked to high blood pressure. With salt therapy, you are inhaling a dry salt aerosol, which only enters your respiratory system not your digestion tract. The salt particles are so fine that even if you were to eat that amount it would not pose a risk to your health.

+ Are there any side effects?

Typically there are none. Few individuals have experienced a slight throat tickle which can be treated with gargling warm to hot water. In cases with an individual that is highly sensitive they can experience slight skin irritation or red patches; however, they go away after a few sessions. If you experience increased coughing due to mucous buildup that means the salt therapy treatment is working. This is the body’s way of draining the mucous buildup.

+ Do you need to stop taking medications if receiving salt therapy?

Since halotherapy is all-natural we have not found that people have had any interactive effects with medications. Often, individuals who undergo halotherapy will find that they are less dependent on certain medication and that their symptoms are less frequent and less severe. Please follow your doctors advice before stopping any medications.

+ How sterile is the salt room – could someone pick up germs?

Salt has natural antibacterial properties and restricts bacteria from growing. Our ventilation system works throughout the entire session to circulate the air in the room, exhausting used air out and clean, fresh air in. There is no recycling of air back into the salt rooms. Chairs and toys are wiped down frequently.

+ What is so special about Himalayan salt?

Himalayan Salt is composed of ancient minerals and nutrients. The known benefits of Himalayan Salt include weight loss, detox, and balanced hormones. It’s vibrant pink color indicates that it is high in minerals and iron, contains 84 different trace minerals that are bio-identical to your body, which means that the salt is able to communicate with your body in an efficient and delicate way. Hand-mined and hand-processed in the Himalayas, this salt is minimally altered; these untainted crystals have spent thousands of years maturing under ancient lava beds.

+ Can electronics be brought into the salt rooms?

Enjoy this time to unplug. No Phones or Devices are allowed in a halo session.

+ Do you get the same effect from going to the beach?

While going to the beach and breathing in the ocean’s salt air is great for the body, halotherapy takes that feeling to a whole new level. The effects of breathing in the dry salt aerosol in our halo sessions are far greater than that of breathing in wet air from the ocean. Dry salt is able to move through both the upper and lower respiratory tracts where wet salt can only reach the upper airways. Dry salt is negatively charged, therefore, able to revive cilia and speed up its motion. The cilia line our respiratory tract and are covered by a layer of mucous. When a foreign particle such as dust is inhaled, the job of the cilia is to beat causing the mucous to travel towards your mouth so it can be coughed out. Salt therapy speeds up that process and in some cases where that process is non-existent it works to get it started.
