New Year: Choose You!

Do you hear yourself saying you are so “busy” every week? Time always seems to be something we are fighting against but what if you simply embraced the small moments. You can’t do it all but you can choose to change in order to be your best self. You’ve figured out how to incorporate working out into your schedule, are knowledgeable on how to clean up your diet but for some reason, are you still feeling a little off?

You have the freedom to change. You have the freedom to choose how you spend your time so let’s kick off 2019 with choosing YOU! 

When is the last time you made time for yourself? Our goal in 2019 is to help you make yourself #1 on that to-do list, not just sometimes but daily. All it takes are a few moments and small acts each day to help you connect to yourself, help you get feeling your best. All we need is some quiet time to connect to our bodies and give ourselves some love.

Here are 3 tips to schedule in "me" time every day. Simply start with any on the list below. Try to build up to all over the next 3 months. Let us know how it goes!

Breathing - 5 mins slow belly breaths
Place one hand on your belly, one hand on your heart. Slow down your breath. Inhale 5 counts, Exhale 5 counts. Shift your breath down to your belly, expand on the inhale and contract on the exhale. 

Dry brush - before you shower
Begin at your feet and move in long sweeping motions toward your heart. Repeat the same process with the arms, starting with your hands and brushing up the arm toward the heart. Always brush toward your heart, following the flow of lymphatic fluid. 

Adaptogens - in your drink of choice
Add 1/2 tsp of sunpotion adaptogens to jumpstart your day
or as the perfect evening wind down.
